We retain information on your name, full address, telephone number and details of the nature of your order for a period of up to 12 months. We retain this information in order to maintain records of collections, deliveries and repairs for accounting purposes, and to keep records of the types of goods reused and recycled to fulfil our obligations to Environmental Laws.

In addition, the data is retained to cover warrantee periods. After a period of 12 months information is anonymised. This means that your all your contact details will be deleted and only the type of equipment, whether it was reused or recycled and the electoral ward it came from is retained. We need this information for statistical purposes and for reporting to the Environmental Authorities.

Your rights under the GDPR

You have an absolute right to stop any processing to do with direct marketing (Barrow Domestic Appliances do not do this)

Right of Access

You have a right of access to the information we hold about you. You can request written confirmation that we are processing your data and a copy of the personal data we hold on you. We will move the data to another system and make it unavailable to other users while investigating your request

If we are satisfied that we do not need to stop processing your data we will let you know. We will provide an explanation for our decision.
